Apply Solex rust remover to a dry, rusty Solex part and let it work for 24 hours. A grey-white powder will form, which can be wiped or rinsed off with a damp cloth. Afterward, the Solex part can be treated with primer or paint.
For small Solex parts, create a bath: let the parts soak for 2–3 hours until the rust is gone, dry them, and reuse the liquid. Also perfect for removing rust from the Solex fuel tank, especially when used with EC-Tank Sealer. For heavy rust, repeat the treatment.
Make sure the Solex tank is completely dry.
Pour the rust remover into the Solex tank and shake well to reach all spots.
Let the tank rest and rotate it every 2 hours so the product covers all rusty areas.
After treatment, pour the liquid back into its container, filtering it if needed (e.g., with a coffee filter).
Allow the Solex tank to dry for at least 24 hours.
